Here are a few quick reminders for those of you who are staying one or
both nights at Camp Buckhorn for the annual meeting of the Palmetto
Friends Gathering next weekend:
Please bring flashlights!
1. You will need to supply your own bed linens. The rooms have small
heaters, but if we get cold weather, those heaters might not suffice if
you are accustomed to keeping your thermostats set fairly high.
Therefore, you should consider taking an extra blanket or quilt.
2. You will need to bring your own towels, etc.
3. Your Clerk will be bringing some toilet paper, but it wouldn't hurt to
have extra rolls (smile!).
4. The staff at Camp Buckhorn can answer general questions about the
facilities. The phone number is: 244-5565.
5. If you are planning on arriving after 8:00 p.m. on Friday night (which
is not advisable, given the narrow roads), you will need to call me
(320-5067) or Tom (607-6865) to get the code to open the gate.
For those who may not wish cabin facilities, there are two motels in Travelers Rest nearby:

503 Roe Center Court
Travelers Rest, SC 29690

Sleep Inn
